The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with the project team to support the design, installation, quality, commissioning and handover of a data center project in Bangkok, Thailand. The project will be one of the first liquid cooled deployed data centers in Thailand, so a degree of up skilling will be required. The data center is part of an existing campus. The systems include (but not limited to):
1. HVAC (chillers, cooling towers, fan walls, CRAC units, pumps, pipe works, ducting, air& waterside balancing, heat exchanger, controls etc.
2. Plumbing & Sanitary Systems
3. Fire protection systems
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee installation works and quality control of contractor & vendors’ works
- Review technical information, shop drawings, as-builts, O&M’s, commissioning reports etc.
- Carry out site inspections of contractor and vendor installations and implement monitoring protocols.
- Support any design modifications during construction.
- Management of issues and observations
- Proactive approach to schedule & quality
- Safety awareness and drive client safety standards always.
- Support operations (where necessary) for integration
- Support the team as required and demonstrate a one team mentality.
- Undertake testing & commissioning activities to integrated systems tests.
- Actively participate in meetings and assist driving any adhoc meetings to ensure delivery on time.
- Handle project administration and documentation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- With 2-5 years’ relevant experience in Mechanical / Eelecrical systems and Building Services coordination with multi-national corporate exposure
- Reliable and proactive working attitude
- Self-motivated with a good team player
- Degree or above in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or other similar qualifications
- Good communication / interpersonal and negotiation skills to handle all stakeholders
- Good command of written and spoken English and Thai
- Good knowledge and understanding of MS Office and MS Project
- Familiar with NETA, EIT, IET, NETA, NFPA, LEED, local and international standards.
