We are seeking an experienced Data Center Senior Commissioning Manager with a strong Mechanical (preferred) or Electrical background to lead and deliver commissioning services for mission critical data center projects in Indonesia.
This role is responsible for executing project delivery and managing commissioning activities on site, working closely with internal delivery teams and commissioning resources to ensure works, procedures, quality standards, and project milestones are achieved.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the Lead Commissioning Manager / Engineer for data center projects on behalf of Commtech.
- Be technically responsible for commissioning delivery in accordance with Commtech standards, project requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead and manage commissioning activities across mission critical data center infrastructure, including:
o Chilled water systems, air cooled systems, CRAH / CRAC units, CDU, thermal management systems
o LV / MV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, STS, switchgear
o BMS, EPMS, DCIM, and controls integration - Manage and coordinate Level 1–5 commissioning activities, including integrated systems testing (IST).
- Review and appraise design intent documents, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and commissioning documentation.
- Manage the compilation and submission of technical reports, commissioning records, and progress/status reports.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor commissioning works to ensure systematic and efficient execution.
- Undertake progressive site inspections to identify and resolve commissioning related concerns.
- Witness and review contractor testing and commissioning activities and verify compliance with design requirements and specifications.
- Lead technical discussions and coordination with contractors, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Ensure all commissioning works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, project requirements, and applicable industry codes and standards.
- Oversee, review, and validate works and deliverables produced by commissioning engineers and team members.
- Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and on site training to commissioning resources.
- Support delivery teams in managing quality, risk, and project readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant working experience in MEP systems, building services coordination, and/or testing & commissioning processes, preferably within data center or mission critical infrastructure projects.
- At least 3 years in a managerial or lead role, overseeing commissioning teams.
- Diploma, Higher Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of data center commissioning, installation practices, system interfaces, and integrated testing
- Sound knowledge of testing & commissioning processes, site installation, and project management for MEP systems.
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills to engage all project stakeholders.
- Self motivated, proactive, and reliable working attitude.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Immediately available is highly preferred.
- Job placement is based on site just outside Jakarta, Indonesia (Work Visa sponsorship available).
