The Jockey Club Mai Po Peter Scott Field Study Center, a newly redeveloped 2-storey building, is a significant part of the Mai Po NATURE Reserve Infrastructure Upgrade Project in Hong Kong.
Completed in 2023, this center stands as Hong Kong’s first research project aimed at promoting environmental conservation and education. With a total area of 1,682m2, the center was meticulously designed and constructed to meet the highest standards of sustainability and functionality.
Commtech Asia played a crucial role in this project by serving as the HK BEAM Plus V1.2 Independent Commissioning Authority (iCxA). Over the course of 2 years, Commtech Asia oversaw the redevelopment process, ensuring that the center met all the necessary requirements for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. The ultimate goal of this project was to create a state-of-the-art facility that would not only provide valuable educational opportunities but also serve as a hub for ecological research and training in Hong Kong.
